Thanks for mentioning the bashing Ms. Shell. I wouldn't have thought to
look up these posts.
It sounds like this Mark guy doesn't have a lick of legal
understanding. Biological parents have legal standing to continue,
obtain, relinquish, or bring an action for their minor children.
Consider yourself Blessed to have been booted from such a mental
midget approach. I guess what Mark doesn't realize is that if the
biological father wanted to gain custody of his son and proved by
clear and convincing evidence that the mother is unfit, then Stepdad
Mark wouldn't have presumptive standing to try to keep his stepson.
Foster parents can petition (or anyone can) guardianship but they
don't have the presumptive legal standing that a biological parent
does.
Too bad they are giving out such bogus advice. You have to be
careful who you go to. Some people just will never get it because
they don't have the mental acumen to understand the meaning of what
they are involved in.
This is a good place to stay because it has educated people who went
to school to get degrees or who are trained and certified
professionals and won't give people advice like this.

The Mark being referred to in this message is none other than ReMark aka
Renee Cygan. She slipped where I have highlighted her response in
Yellow - Mark Cygan has no bio children. . .she had 4 and a cat makes a
better mother than she did/does. Her parental rights were terminated to
3 of her children.
She's defensive because she is keeping her son from his father based on
lies that he was abusive. She refused to return the child after a
visitation, then filed repeated restraining orders which all got
dropped, and managed to manipulate the system for nearly a year, keeping
the child from all contact with his father - nice touch, Renee. She
screwed the kid up so badly in the process that there is probably no way
to fix what she did. SHE can't even control the kid. . .good job, Renee.
Dad has never been charged with a crime AND has not had a CPS case
opened on the false allegations she keep trying to forward. That
doesn't do much to support her repeated allegations that dad was
abusive. Hell - she's violating a court order by even talking about him
on AFRA groups. She doesn't care about the boy, all she cares about is
beating the boy's father to a pulp. You are the prime example of the
biological parent who cares nothing for your childm Renee. You used him
to satisfy your need for revenge. And AFRA supports her. . . and others
who steal kids from their bio parents while banning Kandy and Dawni and
Myrna and Marlene who never did anything as despicable as stealing
someone else's kid or keeping them from their parents.
Renee's response to Dawni is typical of her psychotic logic. . . she
ignores the fact that the woman who had this child was NOT an adoptive
parent. The child was not hers to keep or withhold from the mom. But
AFRA sticks up for these people who profit from removing children from
their biological parents. This is just one of many instances where AFRA
is offering advice and help to people who are trying to take kids from
bio parents under the convoluted logic that taking care of a child gives
the caregiver custody rights to the child at the expense of the
fundamental human right to family association. Family means a mom and
dad and kids. Not foster caregivers, not guardians, unless and until
all other avenues have been exhausted, and then the trauma to the child
caused by the parentectomy is permanent. Renee thinks kids are like
puppy dogs. . .any home will do. That is CPS's philosophy. It seems to
be AFRA's philosophy, too.
Just so readers know what to expect when they ask what AFRA stands for.
. .if you think it is for family rights, think again. Only don't raise
that question on any AFRA group, it looks like it will get you banned.
